A graduate of Lancaster University and postgraduate of Glasgow University,
Paddy had a career within the NHS for over 23 years, mainly in the field of
public health and health intelligence. This led him to understand the
eclectic nature of personal health and wellbeing - beyond that which is
generally understood.
Throughout his career, Paddy’s expertise lay in the interpretation of
statistical information into meaningful health intelligence that can be
used to augment change and inform policy. This was particularly useful
in broadening his understanding and knowledge of the key determinants of
health and wellbeing from life circumstances, such as poor housing and
multiple deprivation to life style, personal behaviour, educational
attainment and beliefs.
Within SaluVida, Paddy’s role is to combine this health intelligence
expertise with results from the Human MOT. This is to enable organisations
and individuals to see how relatively small changes can have a profound
effect. This leads to improved health, well being and productivity.
Recent events in his own life have opened the opportunity of change for Paddy
which he has grasped enthusiastically and has been delighted with the way his
life’s journey has been significantly altered by making changes to his daily
routine. Subsequent improvements in Paddy’s physical and mental wellbeing have
clearly been apparent to his friends, colleagues, children and closest companions.
Paddy’s personal passions include keeping fit, watching football and formula one,
food and wine, hill walking, norse mythology, classical music, castles, and
moon racing.
